Located in Son Bonet, which was Mallorca's original airport, it opened in 1936 and has been in operation ever since. Located 5 miles north of the city of Palma it has great accessibility, with the motorway running alongside, a dedicated bus service and its own train station (Pont D'Inca Nou).
In 1964 Son Sant Joan (Palma International) Airport opened just 5 miles South East leaving Son Bonet as a dedicated General Aviation Aerodrome. Son Bonet is fully licensed VFR aerodrome with fire cover and fuel (Avgas & Jet A1). It has a 3000ft asphalt runway and apron.
It is perfect for training with the facilities it offers and year round weather conditions.
As well as pleasure flights Sloane Helicopters Mallorca also specialise in courses for the JAR Private Helicopter Licence for which you can qualify for in as little as four weeks. Alternatively, combine your flight training between here and one of their training centres in the UK.
There is no better way to experience the stunning landscape of Mallorca that with Sloane Helicopter flights.
