Es Verger Wine Estate
The Fullana family has a longstanding tradition in wine production at the Es Verger Wine Estate in Mallorca.
Sixty years ago, Miquel's grandfather used to produce wines using the native Mantonegro grapes which grow on the family estate in Santa Maria. Nowadays the family still uses their grandfather's vineyards as well as the vineyards they now own in Esporles at the Es Verger finca where they grow Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grape varieties.
The winery was not officially founded until 2000 when Miquel decided to commercialise his wines. From the outset he was set on cultivating all the grapes organically and thus he founded one of the first organically produced wine estates ever on Mallorca.
The location of the estate at 450 meters above sea level also favours organic production due the special micro-climate. Miquel's main objective, together with the help of his son Jaume and daughters Pepa and Rosa, is to continue producing high-quality wines, whilst slowly increasing the annual production.
Es Verger also makes a high quality olive oil with Designation of Origin 'Oli de Mallorca'.
Annual production: 12,000 to 15,000 bottles
Es Verger is open to visitors on Saturdays from 10.00 to 13.00.
For utmost comfort, groups of up to 15 people can visit the wine estate.
