Son Artigues Wine Estate
The Son Artigues Wine Estate has been in the family for almost twenty years. The family had always produced a wine or two from its vineyards, but this was to enjoy at home and with friends.
From 2000 Marc began experimenting and adapting the 'finca' and estate with the aim of producing wine which could be sold commercially. The winery grew little by little as all the necessary equipment and facilities were installed and in 2004 the first wine licensed for public consumption was born.
Marc produces wines which are always based on the local Callet grape variety and all the wines are produced using grapes from the winery's own vineyards which are looked after with the greatest care and affection.
Only the most traditional methods possible are used inside the winery. All this hard work has a very clear purpose; wines which can be stored over long periods as they continue maturing and evolving inside their bottles.
Son Artigues wines mature inside American and French oak barrels and some are also allowed to mature for a year inside the bottle before they are released on the market.
