Cala Mayor

Cala Major is 4 kilometers west from the city of Palma de Mallorca. It’s very near the summer residence of the Spanish Royal Family and the worldwide surrealist painter and artisit Joan Miró lived there. This lovely sandy cove is great for families and has excellent facilities surrounding it.

You can hire sunbeds and there are a few bars where you can purchase drinks and food on the street above the beach. There is no beach car park and therefore in the height of summer parking can be a problem. To access the beach you need to walk down a flight of steps that runs next to the Nixe Palace hotel.

Due to the close proximity of the royal palace you cannot access the beach by boat.
