Port de Pollensa
The area of Port de Pollensa has always had a quiet and peaceful atmosphere which explains why this part of the coast of Mallorca has inspired many artists and writers. This extremely long sandy beach has been regenerated over the last couple of years and has been artificially enhanced by the introduction of extra coarse sand to ensure that a beach was maintained in this area.
Throughout the height of the summer the beach can get quite crowded with both tourists and locals.
It's still a great place to spend the days catching some rays.
Did you know that the novelist Agatha Christie set her short story 'Problem in Pollensa' in this area and the Catalan painter Anglada Camarassa also lived in the port?
