Parades and Procession routes

We wanted to make sure that everyone knew what was happening over the Easter period on the island and thought that we'd provide you with info on the parades and their routes. I'm sure like me you will have heard all the drum banging and the band limbering up for the parades that will take place in the city and across the island this week.

It’s really worth going down and seeing the parade, it always amazes us.

Maundy Thursday – 21st April 

They will be an evening parade that passes through Palma's streets.

The procession will exit the courtyard of Mercy at 19.00 pm, participation of all brotherhoods. The route go through the below roads. There will probably be road closures if needed. 

Plaça de ¡’Hospital, Costa de la Sang, Oms, Sant Miquel, Plaça Major, P. Marqués del Palmer, Colom, Plaça de Cort, Palau Reial, Plaça de la Seu and then enter the Cathedral La Seu.

Good Friday – 22nd April 

Around midday on the Friday the re-enactment of the Passion will take place on the steps of Palma's majestic cathedral La Seu. Then later that evening approximately at 19.30pm the procession of The Holy Burial will leave from Sant Francesc.

The procession will departure at 19.30 pm the Basílica de Sant Francesc and all brotherhood will be participating.

Plaça de Sant Francesc, Convent de Sant Francesc, Plaça de Santa Eulàlia, Cadena, Plaça Cort, Colom, Plaça Marqués del Palmer, Plaça Major, Sant Miquel, J. Tous i Ferrer, Plaça del Comtat del Rosselló, Josep Anselm Clavé, Plaça d’Alexandre Jaume, Porta de Sant Antoni and arrival at the church of de Ntra. Sra. dels Socors
