Meson Can Pedro

Meson Can Pedro is the most Mallorcan of Mallorcan restaurants. With a menu that ranges from suckling pig to sea bass with every conceivable meat and fish in-between this is a foodies heaven.

Meson Can Pedro has been a Mallorcan institution since 1976 and is a defininte favourite with the locals, which you can see when you arrive for lunch at the weekends!

This is a great place to try 'pa amb oli', a typical mallorcan dish of toasted brown bread which you then rub with a garlic clove and Mallorcan tomoto and top with olive oil and salt. This is a starter in itself and comes with every meal, so be careful not to fill up on this before the rest of the food comes.

Rabbit and suckling pig are the house specialties and come highly recommended, but if you're in the mood for beef or fish then the menu is extensive and all of it is delicious.

If you are feeling adventurous you could try the 'arroz brut', which is a typical Mallorcan soup contining rice and other goodies.

Be aware, there are 2 Can Pedro's on Mallorca, This one is in Genova, just above Palma near the statue on the hill. The other is in Valldemossa, quite a drive away from Palma!
